Shaped landscapes
The salt pans of Maras draw an almost abstract mosaic on the valley side. A few hours away, the stone walls and terraces of Machu Picchu show another way of organizing the mountain without erasing it.
Walking at the scale of the Andes
Higher up, the paths, the herds, and the snow-capped peaks give the measure of the territory. Photography becomes a tool to bring closer what seems far away: a silhouette, an animal, a ridgeline.
The notebook thus gathers architecture, daily gestures, and high altitude, with a particular attention to the textures of stone, salt, and wool.
